About the Position:

Hiring for a Safety and Environmental Manager in the Seattle, Washington, market area to provide leadership in the strengthening of our growing injury‐free culture. Direct the organization’s safety and compliance with local, state, and federal agencies; complies with all environmental regulations. Plans, develops,and implements Safety & Environmental programs by providing technical assistance in the identification,evaluation, and control of workplace hazards. Assist in evaluating risks associated with new project opportunities or processes.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in general construction with emphasis on oil/gas, maritime construction, heavy civil construction and/or industrial safety.
Bachelor’s degree in environmental, safety or related experience preferred.
Understanding of applicable federal, state, local standards as well as proficiency in applying them to construction projects.
Knowledge of oil and gas safety protocols preferred.
Experience training in both classroom or construction site environments.
Strong knowledge in managing Worker’s Compensation and Insurance Claim Issues.
Knowledge of: OSHA CFR 1926, 1915, and 1910 Standards, Behavioral‐based safety principles and practices, Risk Management loss prevention methods.
