About the Position:

We are seeking a Laboratory Designer for a long term position in San Diego, CA. This opportunity involves:

Participation in the pursuit of new business through client meetings and interviews.

Leading teams through design and execution of laboratory and technical facilities within science buildings.

Collaboration with regional and nationally recognized architecture firms.

Work with client and project stakeholders at campuses and sites around the country.

Mentor junior staff to help develop future leaders.

Participate in the growth of a new office for a well-established firm.

Qualifications:

Architectural training and license or on-track for licensure.

Revit Proficiency.

Communication skills and ability to work with clients and collaborators.

Programming and Laboratory Design Skills.

Understanding of building systems and the ability to learn technical issues.

Ability to manage and develop multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to work independently.

Expertise in developing project proposals, staffing budgets and schedules.

Experience with marketing/business development, interviews and/or conference presentations.
