About the Position:
Hiring for a Crane and Heavy Equipment Mechanic, responsible for providing mechanical support to equipment including cranes, excavators, loaders, dozers, pile driving equipment, drills and auxiliary equipment at the various Guam jobsites. Specific responsibilities include: troubleshooting malfunctions, routine maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems, daily fluids, parts, tire, etc maintenance, and promoting a team based approach to the projects and project safety.
Requirements:
- Must be journeyman level mechanic with minimum five (5) years construction crane and heavy equipment repair and maintenance experience.
- Five (5) years of crane and winch repair experience (Manitowoc and Liebherr repair experience desired).
- Five (5) years of experience in engine repairs (Caterpillar, Cummins, John Deere, Detroit Diesel, etc.).
- Preferred NCCCO certification, OSHA Certified Mobile Crane Inspector, OSHA Assembly/Disassembly Director certification.
- Must have strong mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance.
- Must be able to use technical equipment manuals in either digital or paper format to trouble shoot, order parts and perform repairs.
- Must have computer skills and experience with computer diagnostics of diesel and gas engines.
- Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems preferred.
- Must have welding skills associated with equipment repairs.
- Relocation to Guam is required (relocation expenses will be covered by Company).
