About the Position:

Hiring for a Director of Construction, responsible for leading managing and developing accountability within the group including hiring, firing, recruiting, training, performance reviews, team health as well as delivering projects consistently within the stated and required results including profitability, customer delight, monthly forecasting, final billing and change order management.

The Director of Construction is essential to the adjustment of the leadership team and taking the core construction business into the next phase. Seeking a proven values-based leader with high character to does the right thing when no one is looking. When things are not going well, step up and do their best work. Care for people and develop talent on their team and putting the needs of the client first.

This person will set the tone for the project managers and superintendents. They bridge gaps for their team as well as for their leadership counterparts. They are willing to do what it takes to support the overall objectives of the organization, including working alongside the Business Development and Estimating teams as the subject matter expert for construction project management.

Requirements:

Applicants must have demonstrated leadership skills and experience in the Operations role for a reputable construction company.

Applicants must have a experience as a Project Manager/Construction Manager, with a project portfolio of commercial ground up construction projects in the $1-3 million dollar range.

Preference for applicants with a 4 year degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a similar discipline. Plus graduate degrees such as an MBA.

Applicants must be high-character individuals with outstanding references and work history.
