About the Position:
Hiring for a Director of FTM (Front of the Meter) Energy Storage Development, that will lead the origination and development of utility scale energy storage projects for the company. . We are looking for an entrepreneurial talent who can collaborate with cross-functional teams and think strategically. Direct experience with utility-scale energy storage project development is a requirement. The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, hands-on, results-oriented, and a team player.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of energy industry experience in a business development role, with a successful track record of project development;
- 2+ years of specific utility scale storage development experience;
- Experience in ERCOT and CAISO or PJM strongly preferred;
- Solid understanding and ability to defend battery revenue streams and valuation;
- Existing relationships with key storage OEMs to streamline procurement and cost estimating;
- Technical and commercial understanding of standalone storage and PV paired with storage;
- Familiarity with real estate development, interconnection, transmission and power project engineering;
- Ability to read tariffs, project contracts, permitting documents, real estate contracts and interconnection agreements;
- Software experience such as MS Project, Google Earth, and PARLAY. Strong competence in Excel;
- 4-year relevant college degree required (Business or Engineering degrees preferred); graduate degree preferred.
