About the Position:
Hiring a Project Manager to manage the overall delivery of a contract by reviewing performance requirements of contractual deliverables, scope and schedule. Determine project compliance requirements. (i.e prevailing wage, local hire, DBE requirements). Attend Job Startup Meeting and prepare Initial Project Assessment/Job Startup Checklist to be delivered to Project Team and President in order to communicate all requirements to field staff, emphasizing atypical conditions. Write RFIs when contract documents are unclear or contradicting or real-world conditions do not allow the contract to be performed as written and communicate changes to project team. Recognize and communicate when there are changes in scope and/or extra work and write and negotiate change orders to client. Develop budgets for material and hours based on estimate and with Estimator and monitor them with field staff. Determine monthly completion %s for project billings. Manage client relations by continuously communicating with project contact to ensure both sides are performing their respective duties
Oversees the administration of a contract by: Providing information to administrative staff to prepare various job onboarding documentation requirements. Communicate project certification requirements to administrative staff and confirm requirements are met. Work with Estimator to prepare schedule of values. Communicate to administrative and field staff and monitor compliance. Review contract closeout documentation for completion.
Applicants must have at least 5 or more years of Project Manager experience with large commercial paint or coatings projects.
